January 2017 (and Christmas Parties 2016!)

Christmas saw me performing at some fantastic Christmas parties across the region including an incredible The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe theme at the Lowell Group Christmas party. It was an excellent event complete with a real wardrobe and fur coats to gain access to the Narnia style interior… I also attended a couple of great bar launches and the relaunch of Blackhouse (see below!) The opening of the new Victoria Gate casino on 26 January. There was also an incredible silhoutte artist at the casino who was able to produce a silhoutte in a matter of seconds using only a piece of black paper and some scissors.  Incredible stuff […]

Summer weddings!

The last few weeks have been very busy performing at a number of beautiful weddings across Leeds, as well as work summer parties and an engagement party at Anams restaurant in Bradford. I have very limited availability left this summer but feel free to contact me for a quote – I sometimes have late availability due to timing changes. PS here is a great pic sent in by a recent wedding.  The little girl on the left couldn’t believe the magic! Enjoy the summer! David

Spring has sprung

I’ve had a busy few months performing at a number of functions and parties.  Some of the highlights included performing magic for the Leeds Medico-Legal society at their society ball earlier in March in support of St Gemma’s Hospice.  It was a fantastic event which raised over £5,000 for the charity. I also had the privilege of performing for the Leeds Medical society at their annual ball pictured below the theme of which was a night on Broadway… Wedding bookings are now coming in fast with limited availability left for this summer.  Contact me now for up-to-date availability here.

Christmas 2015

Christmas is fast approaching and I’ve still not had any mulled wine or mince pies… It’s set to be a busy number of weeks which sees me performing magic at a record number of Christmas parties and events. Please don’t snow quite yet! Best wishes for Christmas and the new year. David

Summer Magic

Summer has arrived and with it brings the prospect of rolling out the BBQ and cracking open a few drinks on a beautiful sun filled evening.  Or at least that’s the hope…   Wimbledon is only a few weeks away which to me signifies the true start of summer.  Could this be another year for Andy?  With all the summer parties and BBQ’s galore, dare I say that it’s the perfect time to book a magician for some light evening entertainment.   It promises to be a busy couple of months with a number of weddings and garden parties in the pipeline.  So, if you’re looking for a Leeds magician […]

Magician become

Despite my best efforts, I wasn’t the best magician at the age of 5.  Even over the next few years it became very clear that magic was hard work.  It took a lot of practice.  Soon my interest in performing it waned especially as I entered middle school and it wasn’t particularly “cool” anymore.   And so whilst I still enjoyed magic and learning new tricks it wasn’t until senior school when my real interest began to take shape.  David Blaine had just exploded onto to the scene in the late 90’s and public interest was on the rise.  Watching some of Blaine’s TV specials where the focus was on […]

Magician becoming

Magic.   My new website went live over 6 months ago and yet for some reason my blog has not written itself – and I thought I was supposed to be a magician!   In these blogs I hope to write a bit about my experience of being a magician in Leeds.  Of course I have not always been based in Leeds but this is where I now call home.   I first came across magic when I was a young boy, I couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 and I remember being transfixed on what seemed to me to be some sort of puzzle. In one of […]
